What’s your CORRECT skin type

May 22, 2017 By Samantha 5 Comments

I had real trouble figuring out what kind of skin I had, and what products i should be using. I have finally perfected it.

One thing i have learnt that made a huge difference was accurately identifying my skin type for example you might think you have dry skin but because you use harsh toners and products containing alcohol it has stripped your skin of its natural oils, or maybe you think you have oily skin because you inadequately cleanse or use to many oils.

You may not be what you think you are. You might think you have dry skin but it might be that you have oily skin or normal skin

Skin types

Normal:  Fine to average pore size, some enlarged pores, some T-zone oiliness, occasional breakouts, some blackheads

Dry Skin: Varying pore size, some dry patches, no sheen/dull complexion, can feel tight and dry, may have surface capillaries

Mature skin: over 35, red lines, sallow completion instead of pink, dull complexion. enlarged pores on cheeks and chin.

oily skin: breakouts/blemishes, congestion/clogging, open pores, blackheads, redness

acne/ blemish skin: young people, regular pimples, black heads, emotional stress, regular consumption of alcohol, caffeine ect.

sensitive skin: red, itchy, reacts to dirt and weather, easily irritated

Conditions

Rosacea: Affects people over the age of 30. It causes redness on your nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead. Some people get little bumps and pimples on the red parts of their faces.

Couperosis: broken capillaries, highly sensitive, red cheeks

eczema– It the body trying to eliminate toxin from the skin. the best way to help this is to nourish you body by using super foods the.

What to do for each skin type ?

normal skin you don’t have to do an special treatment but to keep it nourished and protected the Miessence Balancing skin care pack is the best.

Dry Skin cannot be cured with water this may make it worse because the skin does not absorb water, avoid drawing clay masks and alcohol products. dry skin needs fatty oil and butters. stimulating the sebaceous glands. the rejuvenating skin care pack is best for dry or aging skin.

Oily skin alcohol must be avoided because it strips your skin of it natural oils and sebaceous glands go into overdrive. Exfoliation is great for oily skin to gently remove pollution and dirty. diet is also very important for blemished oily skin. make sue to eat plenty of fruits, veggies and drink plenty of water. the purify skin care pack is perfect for oily skin.

Sensitive skin mild cleansers should be used for sensitive skin and should be gentle with sensitive skin. The soothing skin care pack is the best for sensitive skin.

If you want to really spoil yourself weekly facials can dramatically improve your skin.

This is still something I’m trying to figure out myself so that I can get the right products for me. Will look into some of the products you recommend here. I guess I’m combination skin as I get a mix of oily and dry patches.
